Our Little family Disney Getaway

My littlest first time meeting Pluto

A few weeks ago, we headed out to Disneyland for the last week of their Holiday Celebrations! It has always been by far our favorite time of the year to visit. We used to go every year with our oldest and 2 more kids later, we had not been in about 8 years. We were rusty! My sister-in-law joined us as well as my sister and her baby and my 13-year-old brother. I love it when my siblings are able to join us on adventures. I was so excited as I just love the nostalgic feeling of the holiday magic at Disney.

The plan

We had tickets for Disneyland for that Sunday and CA adventures on a Monday. We thought we would beat the weekend crowds by doing this, but to our surprise, there are always crowds at Disney during this time. We left on a Saturday morning a little after my sister and brother, who had other stops on their way there. Our plan was to get to our hotel Saturday afternoon and hang out, grab some dinner, and be ready to spend a full day at Disney the next day.  We left and did a quick food stop at a Chick Fil about 30 minutes away, and that was good enough for the kids to be good for a little over 4 hour drive there

Outfits

I had nothing ready for our trip. NOTHING . It wasn’t until the day before that my sister found a bunch of cute Disney sweaters fit for the weather, and we scored on a couple of sweaters from our local Khols.

Holiday clearance steal.

Where we stayed

We have always stayed at the Sheraton Anaheim at the park resort, but this time around, it was fully booked. We found another great hotel just a few minutes away from where the Sheraton was located. It was also about a 13-minute walk to the parks. We stayed at the Marriot Courtyard hotel located on the main street to Disney. It was updated, and clean and a nice hotel for the time we did spend in it.

Tacos los Cholos

Ok, so we were super stoked on checking out this place that my sister found on social media, but we thought it was just ok. They have multiple locations, and we went to the one near us in Anaheim. The parking lot was so small, and the line wrapped around the building for it. It was a little late for the kids to be waiting so long, but we decided to just wait it out. If it was this busy, it must be that good, right? We waited about 40 minutes in line, then ordered at a register, and then we had to try to find a table. It was loud, and there were so many people in a small area that you were not really sure who was leaving or not and which tables would become available soon. Being a large party with kids didn’t help. Your food is brought out, but then you still have to get up to get all the condiments for your food yourself. The food was good but I don’t think it was worth the stay and the stress to find a table.

4/10 in my opinion
Day one ready!
Just two teenagers on their way to the most magical place on earth
Disney churros hit different. I had about 5 within two days!
My niece’s first ride ever at Disney.
Hello there disney duck

Disney Baby Care Center

This was super cool, and I did not know that Disney had this Baby Center even with all the years of coming here. I came with my sister who already knew of it and it was the cutest little place ever. It had a play room inside in case your kids just need some quiet time. It had feeding chairs, rocking chairs, individual breastfeeding rooms, changing rooms, and a room where you could get filtered hot water and cold water and even had a microwave. The perfect room for taking a minute from the Disney craziness to feed or change your babies.

A baby snack vending machine! It is so cute and convenient as well.
Private nursing rooms for the mommas who want some privacy and down time to breastfeed.
Bathroom selfie break
Can’t go to Disney and not try a turkey leg
Ca adventures before it got crazy busy
Big big hug from Pluto
Jessie’s Critter Carousel at CA Adventure Park
Everyone chose their own critter

Grizzly Peak at CA Adventure

Such a cool little park area for the  little ones to get rid of their energy, especially if they are too small for most of the rides
Our favorite slide
Great way to end our night at Disney. Racing away at Autopia

I hope you enjoyed reading a quick blog on our Disney trip. Disney was a lot of fun but a lot of work with two little ones. We made really cool memories, we were very stressed at times and overwhelmed, but it is a trip that we would love to come to in the future again!  What’s your favorite thing about Disney.
