Spring Strawberry Salad

Hi friends! For Easter, a few weeks ago, I made a delicious salad that my coworker/friend took in to our latest work potluck. I have never been much of a fruit or nuts in my salad type of person, but OHMYGOOOOSH. This salad was everything. Sweet, crunchy, and so fresh. Anytime, I try something at our potlucks or anywhere I eat, and I love it, I want to make for my family to try it.. It only requires a couple of ingredients, and you’re done.  Making this salad was even more special for me to make as I was able to use my own strawberries from my garden. How cool is that? This is a very easy and fun salad to put together for Memorial Day,  Fourth of July, or any weekend BBQ! It will be sure to have people coming back for seconds.

Start off with a bag of spinach and a cute bowl. Wash if needed I simply throw in bowl if ready.

Freshly picked from Csy’s garden

Cut strawberries up, wash, and toss on top of salad.

Sliced Onions

The recipe calls for half a red onion, thinly sliced. Trust me, the onion gives it the WOW FLAVOR. Add to top of salad.

Feta Cheese

Half a container of feta cheese ( about 3/4 a cup) I didn’t measure precisely, but I added a little more than half the container just because I do love feta so much. Add on top of salad.

Chopped up walnuts

Chop up half a cup of walnuts . Add to top of salad.

Poppy seed dressing is sweet, so start adding conservatively and add more if needed slowly

To bring your salad together, toss all ingredients, and add some poppy seed dressing. This dressing mixed with the strawberries, the walnuts, and the onions will come together and make the most delicious freshest combination your mouth has ever tasted. It also has such a pretty presentation. This brand was delicious. I hear Kern’s also has a really good poppy seed dressing, and you can even make your own if you want to get even more creative.

Final result before the dressing.

I hope you liked this recipe, and let me know what holiday you would want to make it for?

Xoxo
