Mom, Runner, Blogger…Coach!

❤️

Hi friends, Happy Monday! I can’t believe our BIG day finally came. The day that I was so nervous for and so excited at the same time arrived,  and it was a success. I officially became a coach for my son’s soccer team, and trust me when I say it has already been one of the most special and rewarding things I have ever done in my life.

I love a good running fit and a good coach fit

Part of my journey in becoming the best version of myself has been to do things I am passionate about, but that also make a positive impact on others. I live for doing things with intention in life. One of those items (see blog post below) was to coach my son in a sport he chose to pursue. He loves soccer. Last season was his first season playing and he was too shy to participate in most games which was totally normal for his age. This year around I knew that If I could become his coach he would be more comfortable and want to step outside his bubble. What started out as just me saying I would coach turned into me signing up to me following through with it!

I am not sure if I was more nervous or if he was for our first game. We had an early morning game, and we were also on snack duty! Talk about pressure! It was a great game, and I had so much fun meeting the parents and my team players. It was a total workout to run alongside all the players back and forth across the field. I felt like I ran a 10K by the end of our game! My most favorite part was watching my son come out of his comfort zone and run all around the field, scoring goals alongside all his new teammates. My heart was so full.

Shortly after, we watched my daughter play her game on a different field. Her team is doing really good too, and I am also so proud of them! The heat was also winning that day as we were all so tired from being out in the sun all day. We ended our game day by celebrating with some IN N OUT as always because they are the best burgers ever, and no one can tell me otherwise. ( Not even my husband, who is not a fan of IN N OUT, and we have to drag him there.

Protein style for me, add chillis, grilled onions.

My hope is that if you are reading this, you never stop chasing your goals in life no matter how BIG or small they are. I have running goals, mom goals, plant goals, and professional goals. You name it- I have goals for days, and they are all just as equally and intentional to me no matter the size. We are told to chase our goals all our lives growing up, and here is me telling you not to stop chasing your goals even after becoming a mom. It should be a BIGGER reason to have those goals.

Here is to many chasing and SCORING many more goals this season!
